— Welcome to this week’s Episode of AudioTrek … Burgess Cascade Falls … in Tennessee.
The sound of water moving… whether streams, rapids, or waterfalls, can all be different. The amount of water flowing over the falls at different times not only looks different, but sounds different as well. This is what is fun about visiting these natural wonders at different times of the year.
Today, we’re at Burgess Fall State Park about an hour East of Nashville. This park is an easy way to experience 3 different waterfalls along a 1 ½ mile hike. The first falls we come too are a long and wide cascade fall. Just a few hundred feet from the parking lot, we get to experience these beautiful, cascading falls.
When I visited in November, the water flow was abundant. The water flowed across the falls with enough “dry” areas to make these visually breathtaking. The sounds and view from the base of the falls was just magical. Enjoy!
