— Welcome to this week’s Episode of AudioTrek … Falls Creek Falls… are in Lake Catherine State Park, about 9 miles from Hot Springs, Arkansas on the Ouachita River.
After driving across the Country, for several days, a hike really felt good. Here you get to traverse up and down, and up and down many more times over a few hundred feet of elevation covering a little more than 2 miles. About 90 minutes in, I reached the falls, and the basin area was just beautiful like late Fall can be.
As this was early November, the falls were pretty minimal, but for me… I enjoy the sounds of waterfalls during low water. I get to hear the water bouncing off the rocks, and of course more detail in the water sounds… and for me at least, it’s just that much more calming.
So, enjoy the sounds of this waterfall and the visuals of the stream falling over the rocks to the pool below. All in all, a great hike with a relaxing reward at the end!
… Relax. Explore. Meditate. Sleep.
