— Welcome to this week’s Episode of AudioTrek … Morning Rain in the Bitterroot Valley, Montana.

Bitterroot Valley… the root of the Bitterroot plant was a staple for the local Indian diets. Today, the Pink Flowers of the plant are the Montana State flower and the River, Valley, and Mountain Range have all taken on the name.

Stretching about 100 miles just South of Missoula all the way to Yellowstone, this valley is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. Hiking, fishing, kayaking, hunting, and biking are just a few of the activities here.

Driving across the Country, I stopped in to visit some friends who moved here about two years ago. It was great seeing and hanging out with them, and the view of this episode is filmed from their front deck… While I enjoyed hanging out, I was also able to hike up one of their favorite trails which you will see and hear in future episodes.

I also had the opportunity to walk around the local town of Stevensville. Had an amazing coffee from a one-of-a-kind café, and just enjoyed walking thru the local shops of this 3-block downtown that looks and feels like a mountain valley town.

Need a little rain to relax too? Check out the view and lay back and close your eyes while breathing to this mellow morning rain… Enjoy!
