— Welcome to this week’s Episode of AudioTrek … Osage Hills Fire Pit in Oklahoma, about an hour North of Tulsa.
Visiting the park, I stayed in one of the original CCC cabins. (That’s code for Civilian Conservation Corps) Outside the cabin, on the lawn was a fire pit. After sunset, I went out and made myself a nice, medium size fire in the pit.
It was a chilly November night with the temps probably in the 40’s when I started. This time of year, there’s not a lot of wildlife around, so what we mainly hear, is the crackling of the fire and the slight – steaming hiss of the wood as it dries.
Maybe I’ll find myself here in late Spring or Summer and experience the many small animals, frogs, crickets, and of course birds!
… Relax. Explore. Meditate. Sleep.
