— Welcome to this week’s Episode of AudioTrek … a Really Rainy Day … or what happens when a Bomb Cyclone mixes with an Atmospheric River, Santa Rosa, CA October 2021.
Sometimes natural events collide, and we get something a little different from Mother Nature. The North Bay area received several inches of rain in a 24-hour period… so lots of flooding, and tree damage. A positive… rivers and streams a full!
As you can see in the video, the amount of standing water increases quite a bit in just an hour. So, I filmed this episode inside a metal shop building and looking out the door that opens to the field behind. We have a combination of wind and rain falling on the metal building as well as a hint of rain bouncing on water.
This makes me think of and remember stormy nights as a kid, listening to the sounds while laying cozy in bed. Enjoy!
