— Welcome to this week’s Episode of AudioTrek … Early Morning at the Santa Barbara Mission.

With the Santa Ynez Mountains as a backdrop, the Santa Barbara Mission is one of the city’s most beautiful and major landmarks. With its double bell towers, and lush gardens the mission is also known as the “Queen of the Missions”. The Mission in Santa Barbara was founded in 1786 by the Spanish Franciscans.

This episode filming takes place at the A.C. Postel, Memorial Rose Garden, adjacent to the Santa Barbara Mission. The garden contains over 1,500 rose plants and is a busy spot for early morning walks, and the lawn is a great place to drop a blanket for a mid-day nap.

In this episode you’ll experience the sounds of the everyday bustle, as well as the morning fog slowly lifting during the video cast.

Enjoy!
